History, Culture and Heritage

Rock Hill and York County have several points of interest to experience history and culture. Rock Hill’s Historic White Home, the Main Street Children’s Museum and the Arts Council of York County Center for the Arts are located in downtown Rock Hill. Visit the Museum of York County and Historic Brattonsville, a living-history plantation and Revolutionary War site. Kings Mountain National Military Park preserves the site of an important Revolutionary War battle. The Catawba Indian Nation Cultural Center provides an overview and history of the Catawba Indian Nation, the only federally recognized tribe in the state of South Carolina.
